On Sunday, February 16, Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation - WOJO La Que Buena 105.1FM, WIND La Tremenda 560 AM, WVIV VIVA 103.1FM/1200AM and Netmio.com drew over 14,000 people to the Second Annual Woman’s Family Fair. It was a very enthusiastic event, created to provide opportunities for personal and professional development for Latino women and their families. The event took place at the Hawthorne Park Racecourse, located at 3501 S. Laramie in Stickney/Cicero, Illinois.
Attendees enjoyed the presence of actress Cynthia Klitbo (Tamara from the hit soap opera Privilegio de Amar) and heartthrob Gabriel Soto (Adolfo from Las Vias del Amor). In addition workshops were conducted by motivational speaker, Carina “su mejor amiga” (“your best friend”), Doctor Cesar Armoza, expert in nutrition and healthy living, sex educator Carlos Martinez, and motivational speaker Leticia Herrera, among other personalities. The workshops were well attended and the Q&A sessions confirmed that attendees received valuable information.
Four women from the crowd received a makeover, courtesy of Ives Rocher Makeup and a computer was awarded courtesy of Genes 2000, in addition to other prizes. With over 40 exhibitors, the Woman’s Family Fair provided important information, free massages, food samples, cooking lessons, a fashion show, dance lessons, and a whole lot more!
